Thank you for stopping by today. My name is Jessica, and I am a proud mother and wife living in Sunny Southern Florida. I have one daughter and she is 22 months old. Her name is Scarlett. She is the light of my life.

Why Messy Jessy you might ask? It is in fact a childhood nickname of mine coined by my mother in order to shame me into doing more chores. I grew up on a horse farm in Virginia. One thing we were never in short of was more chores. I have always had a bit of a rebellious streak, so naturally the more I was instructed to clean,..the less and less I wanted to; CLEAN...

Down the road, the name was adopted by my husband more as a term of endearment. But also to describe my "alter ego" I take on when I am  in my creative zone. Whether I am spilling paint, knocking over tubs of glue, contaminating everything with glitter; you get the picture.  Then about 6 years ago I began D.Jing house music at local night clubs, and Messy Jessy became my stage name. After a few years I began to settle back into my art. I am now at the point  that I'm ready to start getting myself out there and selling my art. And as I'm sure you are aware, this day and age if you want to sell anything online and be successful at it, one needs to develop a brand in order to market themselves. So it only seemed natural to keep the Messy ball rolling.

About six or seven years ago I had a long drought of creativity. I then learned how to "Make a Mess and Make Art" I did not want to paint or create because I did not have a specific place in our then tiny apartment to dedicate to my art. I figured out how to "Create in Tiny Spaces" I never created anything because I did not want to have to clean up the mess when I was finished. Now that we live in a house, there is a bit more room to stretch out. Even though having an entire room to dedicate to art is ideal, not everyone including myself have that luxury. We do have a very large master bedroom that I have found great ways to make dual purpose. So I realize that the fear of making a mess can greatly inhibit the creative process. Hopefully I can help you find some ways to resolve this issue. So stick around, kick off your shoes and create with me!
